2012 Blast off

Logging on this morning I realized I haven’t posted since November! The obvious reason for that would be because I was on the road for 3 of the 4 weeks in December. Once I spent some time at home base it was back to hitting the streets for FETC and TCEA. Despite being state shows they are some of the largest we participate in for the year. On top of displaying our 20×20 booth we also set up REDCATs in all the breakout rooms.

Once again both shows went off without a hitch. The biggest thing that hit me at both shows was how heavily involved in social media the participants were. FETC was a tweet off of epic proportions. I quickly realized that I didn’t need to attend the keynote or breakout sessions in person because I was able to keep up virtually through Twitter as many others were doing. FETC is where my twitter account was born. You can now follow my cross country adventures @LightspeedLisa.

TCEA was more of a smorgasbord of social networks. Hot topics were Twitter, Facebook, and the newest Pinterest. I have to admit I’m slow on getting on the Pinterest bandwagon. But, attending TCEA convinced me that it is going to change the social landscape once again. Looks like I’ll be adding yet another log in and password to my collection. What is your go to social media network?
